So, you're thinking of making a contribution or perhaps you'd like to dip your pen in the CYOeA ink. Well, do we have opportunities for you!

So here's the deal, we at CYOeA are always interested in more content and what better way to aquire it than with content creators on staff. So, if you want to help out, here's what you do:

First, if you haven't already, sign up for a free membership (or a paid one, by all means). Then, come back here and post a contribution. (only available to logged-in members).

Your contribution will be reviewed by a Staff Editor and, if approved, posted to our live site. Your account will then be granted Contributor Status.

With Contributor Status, you will have access to all the tools to create more content for the site at your own pace.

We currently have 3 types of Contributions: static erotic stories, interactive erotic stories, and visual/cinematic interactive stories. You may choose to contribute any of these as your initial contribution.

Once a story is submitted, it is held as pending until it has been reviewed by a Staff Editor. The role of the editor is to check the story for spelling/grammar and format the story into our propriety format for use on our site.

If you think you have what it takes to become an editor, you must first be a successful contributor. Then, feel free to reach out to us and we can go from there. We are never actively seeking editors, but we won't turn down a qualified applicant either.

So, WHY become a contributor? What's in it for you? Well, this site is run with two forms of modest income: advertising revenue and subscriptions.

To support the cost of the site, we run a minimal number of NON-INVASIVE adult ads. This is key as many adult sites simply spam ads at people and we exist to share a common interest, not to make millions of dollars.

All money from ad revenue goes to pay for the general maintenance and upkeep of the site. Now, for those with money to burn, we offer any array of paid subscription levels. The advantages include an ad-free experience, beta access to works-in-progress, additional custom character slots, and additional story chains for interactive stories.

This money goes to pay for content. Here's the breakdown:

Each story is given a specific weight or value based on the length, quality, and category of the story. Basically, the more interesting the story and the longer it is, the more money you will likely make. Then, obviously, static stories make less than interactive stories, which make less than cinematic stories.

Each static story has a weight of 5, an interactive story has a weight of 20, and a cinematic story has a weight of 50. The value of any particular story is between 1 and the weight.

Typically, most stories should get at least half the full weight as their value unless they're incomplete.

The sum of these values are then used to calculate a contributor's "share" of the site's total collection.

Contributors are then paid 20% of their share of the income, while editors recieve 10%.

For example, assuming all contributions are given their maximum weight, if there are 100 static stories, 10 interactive stories, and 5 cinematic stories, the total weight would be 950. If a contributor wrote 10 static stories and 1 interactive story, their combined value would be 70. This contributor would therefor earn 1.47% of all revenue generated from subscriptions. So, if the site makes $100/month, this contributor would earn $1.47/month.

I know that does seem like a paltry sum, but compared to doing all that work and making nothing by posting it on free sites, something is better than nothing. Want to make more? Simple: submit more content or get us more subscribers. You could even take it a step further and become an editor. If your writing skills are so good that when our editors review your work, if there're no changes to be made, you retain both contribution and editting credit, meaning you earn 30% instead of 20%.
